Nursing students shave for a cure - free BBQ in Townsville

In support of a student who was last week diagnosed with cancer, the students in Nursing will be holding a Shave for a Cure event on Friday, March 16 from 11am, in the Nursing Undercroft (Townsville).

They will also be holding a yellow shirt day – wear a yellow shirt and provide a gold coin donation. This is to help out the student, who is too unwell to work.

The Head of School in Nursing, Lee Stewart, has set the following challenge:  If Heads of School and Staff get onboard with this and make a donation (on the day or online) Lee will shave her head on Friday 16!

There will be music and a free BBQ for everyone who comes along and shows their support, so lets open our hearts and wallets to help out the student team!
