Applications for Aged Care Nursing Scholarships: Postgraduate are open and will close 31 August 2012 at 12am EST.
To be eligible to apply for a postgraduate scholarship applicants must:
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident of Australia
- be a registered nurse with current registration
- be directly employed in and by an Australian Government funded approved provider of: residential aged care service; comunity aged care service; multipurpose service; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flexible service.
- deliver some direct care
- be intending to undertake postgraduate studies relating to the care of older people including but not limited to: clinical gerontology, behavioural management, dementia care, wound care, continence care, palliative care and infection control. Leadership and management courses are also considered eligible.

The following courses will commence SP1 2013, which may be eligible for funding:
- Postgraduate Certificate of Nursing (Care of the Older Adult major)
- Postgraduate Diploma of Nursing (Care of the Older Adult major)
- Master of Nursing (Care of the Older Adult major)
- Postgraduate Certificate of Infection Control
- Postgraduate Diploma of Nursing (Infection Control major)
- Postgraduate Certificate of Nursing (Leadership and Management major)
- Postgraduate Diploma of Nursing (Leadership and Management major)
- Master of Nursing (Leadership and Management major)
- Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner)
