RHINO would like to invite all students and staff to participate in the National Close the Gap Day at JCU Townsville Campus!
On Thursday March 22, RHINO is helping run a Close the Gap Day event, to bring awareness about inequalities in health care between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians. This will be in partnership with the School of Medicine and the Indigenous Health Unit, as well as a few Indigenous students.
We hope the event to contain two or three quick guest speakers, as well as a few educational stalls about Indigenous health, culture and enterprise. The focus of Close the Gap in 2012 is partnership with Indigenous Australians in helping close the gap, and by educating our fellow students and staff about Indigenous health, we are taking the first few steps.
When: Thursday March 22
Where: Health Precinct, between the School of Medicine (Bldg 46) and School of Pharmacy (Bldg 47).
Time: 11 am - 1 pm
