NAHSSS Rural and Remote Clinical Placement scholarships worth up to $11,000 are now open for nursing and midwifery students undertaking a clinical placement in a rural or remote area.

JCU Undergraduate Student Prizes - Prize money to be won - closing date Friday 31 October

Attention all JCU undergraduate students.

Entries are invited for two writing prizes – the H Neil Smith Prize (a short story of not more than 2,000 words) and the Mabel Innes Prize for Lyric Verse (a lyric poem of any length).

The H Neil Smith Prize is valued at $750 and the Mabel Innes Prize for Lyric Verse is valued at $500.

Closing date is Friday 31 October.

Rural and remote health services and James Cook University are working to expose greater numbers of nursing students to the rewards and possibilities of working in the bush.

A new rural clinical placement elective in the Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSc) degree has been embraced by JCU students and healthcare providers in remote and rural locations.
